Morning
Used up the last of yesterday’s bacon — kids go through it fast!
- Kids had bacon and toast
- Chris had a breakfast platter: leftover roasted potatoes, mushrooms and onions, and a big handful of spinach all sautéed together, with three fried eggs alongside. He said it was delicious. It looked it.

Lunch — Full Leftover Spread
Pulled everything out of the fridge and let everyone build their own plates:

- Polish sausage, grilled chicken, flank steak all on the table
- Chris finished the last of the brat bites from Friday
- I made a big salad with grilled chicken and some of the leftover sweet potatoes from yesterday’s lunch

- Kids made platters with whatever sounded good
Still have a solid amount of leftovers going into Monday and Tuesday — which is perfect because it’s going to be a busy start to the week.
Afternoon
Busy afternoon — errands, stuff around the house. The big protein cook I had planned didn’t happen, and that’s completely fine. The fridge is still full, nothing is going to waste, and tomorrow morning I’m blocking off 45 minutes to just pound through it.
Dinner — My Parents’ House
A lovely Sunday dinner, as always. I brought the three Good Foods chicken salad dips along so everyone could try them — and funnily enough, everyone had a different favorite. They’re all good.
Came home with leftovers:
- Steak
- Dairy free mashed potatoes (potatoes boiled and mashed with dairy free butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder — simple and perfect)
- Green beans
- Fresh vegetables from the appetizer board
Post-Dinner / Looking Ahead
What’s in the fridge now:
- Leftover steak (from my parents’)
- Leftover dairy free mashed potatoes
- Leftover green beans
- Grilled chicken (still a good amount)
- Marinated raw chicken breast (large pieces — tomorrow for sure)
- Two whole chickens (uncooked)
- Carver ham (uncooked)
- Ground beef (fresh, untouched)
- Allergy-friendly brownies (just a little leftover)
Tomorrow morning: 45 minutes, block it off, get the Costco proteins moving. Chicken on the grill, ground beef dealt with, and possibly get the roast chickens going. A busy week ahead means the prep tomorrow morning is going to carry us a long way.
