Viral Whipped Fudge

By Natalie
May 11, 2026

This whipped fudge became one of those “I can’t stop thinking about it” recipes almost immediately after I made it the first time. The texture is what gets everyone — rich and chocolatey but somehow lighter and softer than traditional fudge because of the whipping process. It feels like something between classic holiday fudge and the filling of the best chocolate truffle you’ve ever had. And once I shared it online, people completely ran with it. Between this recipe and my viral beef summer sausage, I’ve realized the internet really loves practical comfort food with a little surprise factor.

In our house, this is one of those “cut tiny squares because everyone keeps sneaking pieces” desserts. I love making it during busy homeschool weeks or around holidays because it stores beautifully in the fridge and feels special without being complicated. It’s also the kind of recipe that makes people think you spent way more time in the kitchen than you actually did, which honestly is one of my favorite categories of recipes.

Viral Whipped Fudge

Servings 2.5 cups of frosting
Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 2 hours

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate I used chopped dairy free dark chocolate bars from Trader Joes – this is about 124.7g
  • 1 can 11.25 oz. sweetened condensed milk (I used sweetened condensed coconut milk from Nature’s Charm)

Instructions

  • Place the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk in a bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and microwave again for 30 seconds. Stir until all the chocolate is melted. Cover and place in the fridge for about 2 hours.
  • Scoop the hardened mixture into a large mixing bowl and beat on HIGH for at least 7-10 minutes…the time really depends on the strength of your mixer. The goal is to incorporate LOTS of air and transform this from a dense fudge to a light and airy fudge frosting.
